Delaney & Bonnie Bramlett, a husband and wife duo often overshadowed by their more luminous friends Eric Clapton, Duane Allman and George Harrison, created distinctive and unique music in the early '70s. They were signed to Stax Records and released their debut album Home in 1969 with the aid of Booker T. & the MG's, William Bell, and Isaac Hayes. The moved on to Elektra Records for their second album, Accept No Substitute. After touring with the likes of Eric Clapton, Blind Faith, and John Lennon's Plastic Ono Band, they released To Bonnie from Delaney in 1970 and Motel Shot in 1971, both recorded with an all-star cast of musicians. They divorced later that year, which ended their musical partnership.
